Defining the Next Generation of Process Innovation

Tue, 01/31/2017 - 19:00
Now in its fifth year, bpmNEXT is the definitive showcase of the next generation of Business Process Management software – including intelligent operations, the Internet of Things (IoT), case management, business decision management, and goal-directed processes. bpmNEXT has consistently been the defining launch pad for the ideas and innovations surrounding technology-led business process innovation. Presentations are not case studies of past successes, but vision statements on where we need to go next. This is no typical “how to” conference aimed at BPM newcomers. It is designed specifically for those already chest deep in BPM and wanting to get in early on the next generation of process innovation technology – touch it, see it, and influence it. bpmNEXT 2017 is better than ever! With over 20 leading-edge demos including the full gamut of technology spearheading the next wave of process innovation, combined with the “Business of BPM” workshop featuring insight from BPM’s most prominent and influential analysts – Neil Ward-Dutton, Sandy Kemsley, Clay Richardson, Jim Sinur, Nathaniel Palmer and Bruce Silver. And we will have Miguel Valdès Faura speaking about blockchain.  "Blockchain technology is enabling a paradigm shift in how companies do business by providing a new way to exchange assets. Blockchain is indeed much broader than Bitcoin and can be seen as an immutable, unhackable distributed database of digital assets. There are growing number of Blockchain implementations in different domains such supply chain management, digital voting, cloud storage or IOT network, to name a few.  This session will illustrate different use cases in which blockchain and BPM technologies can support and strength each other. We will demonstrate how Bonita BPM platform and Chain Core technology can be combined to create blockchain apps. We will also cover how to perform intelligent queries on any part of a Blockchain transaction and how Smart contracts and their underlaying processes can benefit by the use of BPM technologies."Register here to be a part of this event.

Accelerate blockchain technology adoption with Bonita BPM and Chain Core!

Thu, 01/19/2017 - 09:00
Time: 12:00pm EST (New York) , 9:00am PST (San Francisco) Blockchain technology is young, but has a bright future. Financial institutions, government agencies, supply chain management companies and many other major actors are already building proof-of-concepts to evaluate potential blockchain technology. So are we, at Bonitasoft. Very soon, blockchain technology will enable a paradigm shift in how companies do business by providing a new medium to exchange assets. However, the need to streamline, control, and optimize the business processes that use it will still be here, and BPM will have a big role to play. In this webinar, I’ll show how to implement a business application that manages a supply chain by using Bonita BPM and Chain Core. Join me (Lionel Palacin, BPM Technical Evangelist) for this 1 hour session online Tuesday, January 31 at 12:00 pm (Eastern time). Register now! Don't delay as the number of attendees is limited!

Intelligent continuous improvement, when BPM meets AI

Thu, 01/19/2017 - 09:00
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are evolving faster than ever thanks to the maturity of cloud computing, BigData and the accessibility of predictive and machine learning algorithms and frameworks. But, is BPM software ready to embrace AI? Through continued modernisation BPM platforms goes beyond traditional process automation and optimisation use cases to play a key role in digital transformation in organisations of all sizes. Modern BPM applications requirements include advanced end user interfaces (UIs), access to big volumes of business data and real time updates of those processes, UIs and data. AI will be the next major wave of innovation in BPM. In this session we will discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in the shift towards the use of AI technologies in BPM. We will particularly cover uses cases in which AI enables intelligent continuous improvement of business processes and BPM applications. We will also discuss about pros and cons of different AI technologies when it relates to BPM

Applying Usability to Improve Value and Reduce Risk

Tue, 01/10/2017 - 00:00
Bonitasoft provides a leading open source BPM process-based application development platform – one that we want to be the best fit for our very wide array of customers. Our flagship product, Bonita BPM, has strong graphical UI components, on-line documentation, training materials, and a javadoc. All require information compiled and applied to create the best user experience. Multiple departments are involved in the collection of users’ needs that include those generic to all customers, and also those specific to individual users such as the technical environment, their vertical business domain, and current situation in the application development cycle. These departments include Pre-Sales, Sales, Expertise Delivery, Customer Success, Product Managers, Marketing, and of course Engineering. In Engineering, our goal is to reduce the risk of not delivering the right product to the target users, to bring them their expected business value: to move faster, take better action, overcome a problem. This talk will focus on usability practices and techniques to:– Gather users’ needs and expectations at the use case level– Translate them into clear feature specifications for the whole product– Insure the expected value is met With an example from my experience as Bonitasoft’s usability specialist, you will hear about our cultural change from technical-centric to user-centered, directing and influencing the R&D team, and about “non-negotiable usability”: our own, ad-hoc concept.
