Dear Community members,

You might already have noticed that Bonita BPM 6.3 is available on our Download page.

For this release, we would like you to take time to read our Release Note, as there are many improvements and new features for the Bonita BPM Community edition. We would like you to know abut at least these two particular points:

Transient data and Engine

In 6.3, the update of an activity transient data value is deprecated. Transient data should always keep the initial value. If the application server is restarted, transient data will be reset to the initial value. See documentation: http://documentation.bonitasoft.com/data-handling-overview-0#transient.

Studio process import warning

When importing a process from a previous version, you might see validation messages stating "The operation target variable "XXX" is not consistent". To make the process definition consistent, go to the operation and reselect the target variable. This inconsistency does not prevent the process from running, so you could ignore it. However, we recommend that you update the operation definition so that the validation messages no longer appear.

See the screen capture below:

Bonita BPM Studio, error on import

I would like to thank Philippe and Duy, respectively our Technical Support Manager and Quality Manager at Bonitasoft, who asked me to highlight this.

And as always, have fun with Bonita!!!

Antoine,

Bonitasoft Community Manager

PS: I would be pleased to meet you in real life if you come to Solutions Linux

I need to know if in the Community Edition is possible to have basic reports. ( time start/end and typification of process). Thanks in advance for your answer

You can do reporting with any solution you want with Community, but you have to develop it for your need. There are basic Jasper reports integrated of our Subscription's Portal. However, if you need advanced reporting, the datas stored by Bonita BPM Engine are very, very complete, so you can make very complete and custom reports if needed.
