how to load a file

I have a server with my bonita process and conexion to a DB MySQL, i'm developing a process that need load up files (doc, doxs pdf). i started see the widget loadup, but i have several question, whats the best way to save this file, in a file server or in to DB, in both cases how can i start to inplement, how i can directionate the file in a route in my server or save in my DB. Sorry for the bad inglish. im a very new user
