Import Error

I am in the process of standing up a BPM CE 6.5.3 server on a windows 2012R2 server.

The installation completed successfully and the software launches fine.

I am trying to import a .bos file from another BPM 6.5.3 server.

When i try to import i get a prompt that says.
Incompatible version.
You are trying to import a process who has been designed with an incompatible version.
This process will not be available after the import operation.

I am guessing that due to my old BPM server was not CE. Is that correct? Is it possible to import my process?

Does CE not import from Subscription?

I'm guessing that's my issue.

I confirm that it's not possible to import a diagram created with Bonita BPM Studio Subscription edition in a Community edition.

Something that can help you for this migration is to use the export of the diagram as a BPMN file. Note that this will only keep a sub-part of your process definition (the one that is part of the BPMN standard).

@antoine - I would like to know why this would be the case?

Subscription 6.x to Community 6.x or 7.x should be possible as long as it's not backward (7.x to 6.x for example).

Studio diagrams should be universal across all editions, what's in a Subscription Diagram that's not in a Community Diagram?

Also why when BPMN is not mentioned anywhere in the question should it be in the answer?

Thanks and regards

I would create a bug report here:
