Tomcat fails to start in a freshly installed OpenSuse Leap 42.1

Hello,

I recently installed OpenSuse Leap 42.1 64 bits on my laptop. It includes java 1.7 and 1.8 (openjdk).
I downloaded bonita BPM Community 7.3.3.
When I start it, tomcat fails to start, yielding this message instead:

Could not save to L/server_configuration/bonitaTomcatServerSerialization.

After this, bonita studio starts, yet it is unable to run any processes due to the tomcat issue.

Has anyone had the same problem?

I've used BonitaCommunity 7.2 in OpenSuse 13.1 with the same java background and it worked just fine.

Any hints are deeply appreciated.

BTW, this is when using the studio installer. The all-in-one version fails as well, yielding a different error:

Server Tomcat v7.0 Server at localhost failed to start.

Apparently tomcat is not able to bind itself to the port 8080, as if other program were using it. I double checked it and did not find any processes using that port.
