Hi,

There is a default checkbox widget available in the UI Designer palette so you can just drag-and-drop it into your page or form. In this getting started tutorial you will find a complete application example that include (among others widgets) a checkbox. In the example you will find all the details to manage data in widgets.

Regarding your second question, running a process from Bonita Studio is intended for testing during process development. Here is more information about it as well as on how to create personalized web applications in Bonita (I guess this is what you refer as "personalized homepage" in your question).
