Unreadable buttons in the Bonita BPM workbench under Ubuntu Linux

I am a new user of Bonita BPM version 6.2.3 Community edition. I have installed the application on Ubuntu Linux 32bit version 13.04 and 13.10. My Oracle Java version is 1.7.0_51.

The problem I have is that the buttons in the "General", "Application", "Appearance" etc. panel appear greyed out to such an extent as to make them unreadable. For example in the "General" tab the buttons presented are "Pool", "Actors" etc. However only the selected button is readable, the other buttons are selectable but appear (dark) greyed out so as to be unreadable. They only become readable when the mouse hovers over them or when they are selected.

My understanding is that the button appearance properties are being set from the Gnome / GTK environment, but I am unsure which properties relate to the buttons appearance and how to change them.

I think that this is how it should be in Unity, the desktop of Ubuntu. Could you please provide a screenshot? you can use a service like Imgur to host it.

This one is the BEST answer!

Hi,

this is actually a known issue due to our Eclipse fork. A solution is provided there.

http://devshards.blogspot.it/2012/10/how-to-fix-unreadable-eclipse-tooltips.html

Steps to follow:

- open a terminal and go with:

# sudo apt-get install gnome-color-chooser

# gnome-color-chooser

This will launch a color picker.

Then go to Specific and tick Foreground & Background checkboxes in the Tooltips section.

And there you go.

Vincent.
