Reinforcing the Bonita low code approach with project composition

We continue our low-code approach by reinforcing project governance and collaboration between citizen and professional developers.

How?

We want to allow developers to work with their preferred tooling while also simplifying Bonita Studio for non technical users. Bonita Studio is focused on project configuration while all technical components: REST API extensions, actor filters, connectors, themes and other third party libraries can be defined outside Bonita Studio. We call this "project composition."

Bonita Portal is finished, welcome to Bonita Applications

Bonita Portal is moving to extensible Bonita Applications and is removed from the Bonita platform. User interfaces will be based on Bonita applications only.

So, in addition to the fully extensible and customizable Bonita User and Bonita Administrator applications, there are 2 new default applications:

• Super Administrator
• Bonita Application Directory

Custom profiles available in Bonita Enterprise Edition are evolving as well.
