Angular LTS

Hi,

Bonitasoft seems to use 1.3.8 version of AngularJS.

On July 1, 2018, the 1.7 version (the last one) will not be support anymore.

My questions are :

  1. Why Bonita has not implement the last version 1.7 of angular ?
  2. What's the future of the Studio if no support is provided for angularJs ?

Thanks.

Bonjour Fabien,

You're right, until now Bonita has been based on AngularJS 1.3, as it is a very stable framework.

We plan to upgrade to AngularJS 1.7 LTS (supported until June 30th, 2021) in the near future. Our UI strategy is to progressively provide the capability to reduce AngularJS stickiness thanks Web Components technology.

I have updated our roadmap accordingly

I will let you validate my answer if it is clear for you.

Good day,

Would like to ask if there are any updates regarding this concern?

AngularJS support has officially ended as of January 2022. Upon checking with latest version of Bonita(v2022.1), angularJS is still being used specifically for the living applications such as User Application and Application Directory. Since it is no longer supported, risks of new security concerns might arise. May I ask if there are future plans to address this concern? Could you please share?

Thank you.
