Bonita Open Solution vs Bonita BPM

Hi, everyone I'm Ami

I just want to ask the difference between Bonita Open Solution vs Bonita BPM? Which one can produce an independent app which don't need bonita to run it?

Hello Ami.

  1. Bonita Open Solution is the ancestor of the Bonita BPM, it's just a branding name.
  2. Bonita BPM has a server (the runtime deployment) without the development studio. But you have no option to 'generate a self-containing app' (well - is there a really strong reason you want it?). You need a server (engine and/or portal) to run it. Well - in theory you can run the engine embedded in your application, but I recommend to run a separate server anyway,

I just need to see the engine and/or portal source code separated from the studio to make my assessment accurate... That's all....
