Hi Tomaz,

A workspace is a directory where Bonita Studio stores working files related to process design. When you install Bonita Studio, a workspace is created automatically, whatever OS you are using.

You can change the path of your workspace to use a different one. The default workspace is studio_install_directory/workspace.

Before 7.8., you have to go to the Diagram menu and choose Switch workspace. Starting 7.8, you go to File menu and choose Switch workspace. A pop up window shows the path of the workspace you are currently using. In this pop up window, specify the path of the workspace you want to use.

If you need more details, I invite you to read the Documentation page on workspaces and projects (repositories before 7.8)

I hope this helps. Delphine

Hi Delphine,

Thanks for the answer. As I understand, this works for Enterprise, Performance, Efficiency, and Teamwork editions, but not for the Bonita Studio Community, since there is no File | Switch workspace option in the menu. In Community edition, is there any way to switch workspace?

Hi Tomaz, Yes you're right, I forgot to specify that switching workspaces is not possible with Community Edition. Nevertheless, you can import your workspace directly from Studio starting with 7.6 version (it is not possible before). This allows you importing from another workspace at anytime. Let me know if it is what you want to do?

Thanks - I'd like to physically move workspace directory from the default location to MyDocuments (if possible relative to %userprofile% on Windows), but to keep all the other files at studio_install_directory.

Hi Tomaz,

This change is actually not supported on Community version. We can raise the need to our Product management team.

Could you please describe your use case in the " Ideas " section? Thanks Delphine
