Is it possible to deploy Bonita Community on the external server - not standalone?

Maybe I am mistaken, but it seems that Bonita Community version can only be deployed on local server on your own computer - not in cloud. Hence enterprise use of Bonita Community is not possible and the only purpose of this edition is to try how it looks and functions.

Did anyone succeed in deploying Bonita Community on external Tomcat or JBOSS server?

Hi. Yes it is possible. You just need to download the bundle : http://www.bonitasoft.com/how-we-do-it/downloads Then you unzip it on your external server and you start it. After that you can access it with you web browser by using the address : http://address_of_your_server:port/bonita/

Hi, Yannick.

Thank you for your reply. I tried to deploy Bonita Community on OpenShift server (www.openshift.com) but failed. I'll try to deploy it on the other external server and then post here my feedback.

Here is more information for the deployment : http://documentation.bonitasoft.com/product-bos-sp/basic-bonita-bpm-plat...

You need to choose the bundle corresponding to your server (Tomcat bundle if you have a Tomcat Server / JBoss bundle if you have a JBoss Server).

To further Yannick's Yes it is possible to this do - yes I do this all the time.

However we're using local hardware (but a remote machine) to do this, not cloud servers like OpenShift which may not actually be supported.

I think for now and for this type of deployment you are on your own, however I'm sure there will be many that want to know how you do it when you do it, so if and when you get it up and running could you let us all know?

Thanks in advance, regards
