Dear community,
Let’s start right out with the observation that “ThreadDeath Exception” would be a really cool name for a band. (Shoutout to baalFr76 – sorry about the annoying issue, but thanks for putting a smile in my day.)
Did you notice that we hit 100 contributions (extensions, examples, and more) in the community? Have you checked them out? The most recently added are below.

OX BPM an Openxava Application to Show Integration with BOS, Liferay and Openxava
The Latest from R&D
BOS 5.3 has been extended in a number of ways. One of those extension will allow you to apply connectors to forms:
- to fill in the initial value of a field
- to fill the available values of a field
- to update the value of a field using contingencies
- to update the available values of a field using contingencies
- to execute an action at form submission using the values of one or more data fields (for example, to save some field values in an external database
One of the main advantages of this feature is that you won't always need to create a dedicated variable to be able to use a value retrieved with a connector in a form. Keep it light!
