Dear community,
Bladimir Rondon has crossed South American borders to give a training in Bonita Open Solution in Bogota, Colombia. There have been other training sessions held in France, Spain, Malta, Canary Islands, United States…where to next?
Baptiste Mesta (mestab) will be presenting at ZenikaIT Paris this Thursday. Come along if you can - information about Bonita Open Solution and Bonita Studio right from a member of the development team.
The latest from R&D
The ongoing work to make BOS consistent with BPMN2 has been pretty steady – in the next release, for example, we’ve added boundary events. There has been some pretty lively discussion on the BPM blogosphere recently about the use of BPMN at the interface between Business and IT (see the post and comments about Following the Rules at Bruce Silver’s blog, and the post that started the heat, by Jim Sinur.)In my own experience, no tool used for communication is ever ideal. And to add to the overall challenge we’re applying terminology in BOS in English, French, and Spanish (some BPMN “standard,” some not). And that’s just the start.
What kinds of communication issues have you experienced between biz and IT with process development?
And have a look at what Miguel has to say about Custom BPM vs Standalone BPM. Another either-or issue that really isn’t either, either.
Welcome to the open source BPM community
