Hi guys,

I have a problem with forms.
When I created the forms I was unable to preview them and I got the message Failed to create the part’s controls, and the details are:

This a bug. It will be fix in future release.

Form preview should just show the layout of the form so you can determine if it looks good or not. Many variables for example will be empty - and this is why you get this error.

In my case all my text is taken from properties files - headers, titles, body text etc. but these are reliant and a index (i). If i is null at the preview stage (which it should be) - none of the properties can be retrieved which basically causes the form to fail.

This is one of grey areas of flexibility over usability. The flexibility offered developers is fantastic in that everything is data driven, but as soon as you try to preview it outside of this execution then flexibility becomes a problem.

The simple solution I’m afraid is to run the process, again and again and again…and again until as Romain says it gets fixed,
