Is it possible to send and email with a Purchase Order attached as a PDF file signed digitally? the digital certificates will be in a smartcard assigned to each employee that has the approver role within this process.

I don’t know how signed file in email are working.
Where does the Smartcard should be attached? is also an attachment of the mail? Is a dedicated field of the mail? Can it be specified in the core message of the email?
Depending on the way it works, our built-in mail connector might not support it. In this case, You will have to create your own custom connector (http://documentation.bonitasoft.com/creating-connector). I encourage you to report a feature request and to contribute the connector
