I would suggest you up your RAM to 8GB at least…this will make everything, not just Bonitasoft, work better.
BUT, yes there is a catch - you’ll need 64 bit…
see here for more memory info…

https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/markrussinovich/2008/07/21/pushing-the-limits-of-windows-physical-memory/
Bonitasoft works fine on 32 bit, it’s just what are your expectations? if you want 5 second opening time, then expectations will never be met…
In reality though, it works much better on 64 bit with lots of RAM (and SSD).
This is a question we keep getting at work…payroll is not working as fast as expected…
What?
What is expected?
What is fast?
The users want it finished in 30 minutes, but then they throw 60,000 people with overtime, medical, housing, holiday and other etcs. at it…so two hours is realistic…just not expected (we know better of course) …
I hope you’re not trying to open 300 diagrams at the same time…that would not work…
3 Steps (tasks) per diagram, that’s fine,
But if you have 10 pools (main + 9 subtasks) each with 3 steps in a diagram then you are opening 30 steps…not 3.
Regarding the other functions: Organization(Actors), Development(connector), Simulation etc.
No you can’t remove them. They are part of the tool, there is nothing you can do there that will help in this case.
So I used to export only diagram(Export > Deselect All > check “Diagram” > Finish)
Regarding whenever a diagram is exported, some errors are occured. ‘java.lang.NullPointerException’.
Why are the errors occured?
How can I eliminate this errors?
have you thought that I used to export only diagram(Export > Deselect All > check “Diagram” > Finish)
might be your problem? By removing things that the model is dependent on…it can’t find them so fails.
Though I understand why you have done this…Because of them the exporting takes too much time. about 2 minutes.
So in summary, to meet your expectations of quick response the minimum (best case) you have to do is:
Upgrade to 64 bit OS, and
Upgrade your memory
Depending on your actual PC - this may not be possible (for example some laptops are limited to only 4GB with no possibility of upgrading) then (worst case) you need to buy a new PC.
To my mind, purchasing a new PC really will be the best thing to do in this case.
If you’re frightened of going to Windows 10 - I’ve been using it for more than a year (as an insider), it’s actually very good.
Just for the Linux fans:
Some may say move to Linux, sure, I have no problem with that, just be ready for learning lots of new things…and I mean lots of new things…
hope this helps
