Start Automatic

I need to find a way to initiate cases of a process automatically by my ERP system. My idea is:

  1. My ERP system executes a trigger that changes a status of a table in the database.

  2. Where the status of a record in this table is changed, for example from A to B, a new case of the process starts automatically.

That’s my initial idea, but thought to do this using an email inbox with an account in the Office 365 (Outlook). Whenever this account receive an email with a specific title a case is started automatically.

Someone has done something like this using Bonita BPM 7.x?
