this support page from Google was helpful for me:

just add those settings in your connector configuration, and I also suggest you to introduce process parameters so that you can switch between local SMTP server (like http://nilhcem.com/FakeSMTP/ or https://greenmail-mail-test.github.io/greenmail/ + https://roundcube.net/)

and Gmail real smtp/imap
