Behind the Scenes with Bonita #10 (4 Jan 2010 -> 10 Jan 2010 )

Dear community,

This week, we have our first Spanish translation contributed by a community member, thanks to pigbar. If you want to help him, have a look at feature 999. Another member would like to contribute Chinese translation. It sounds “guapo”. BonitaSoft will contribute English and French translations. In order to simplify the contribution of translations, the BonitaSoft community team is working on a community translation tool (have a look at the home page of our community). This tool should be available in February. While we’re waiting, you can use the bugtracker for translation contributions.

Currently, we have another active Spanish community contributor who contributes a lot of connectors. You can see jordi.anguela's contributions here. This is good place to introduce another great community tool that will be soon available (end of January): the contributions tool. With this tool, you’ll be able to exchange your own Bonita Open Solution extensions like connectors, role mappers or processes!!! This will be the place where you’ll find all you need to implement your business cases.

You have an idea for another community cool tool? Great, share your idea with us here.

Now, you can follow community discussions on twitter: @bpmcommunity.

Live from R&D

Since R&D team told me that Bonita Open Solution supports sending and receiving messages (see Behind the Scenes with Bonita #8), I dreamed of the day when I could synchronize two instances with messages. The R&D team made my dream come true: they added a matching condition to message reception. With this easy parameter (groovy like), you just share a value between the instances you want to synchronize and test this value with the matching condition. Great, wonderful, bueno job guys.

What other useful suggestions do you have to improve Bonita?
