Behind the Scenes with Bonita #22 (27 Sept -> 3 Oct 2010)

Dear community,

Worldwide Bonita! Follow the progress of language diversification with the Babili translation tool. Runtime translation is 100% complete in English, French, Spanish, and…Italian? Translations for Bonita Studio, User Experience, and connectors are climbing too. This is quite an amazing result of this active international community.

Have you subscribed to BonitaSoft TV? If not, we suggest you sign up, because you'll receive notification whenever a new video is posted. We're posting more and more how-to’s and demos of Bonita features, connectors and extensions, and expect quite a bit of activity there when Bonita Open Solution 5.3 is released in the coming month.

The Latest from R&D

Coming up in the next release:
  • You'll be able to change (or import) and save/re-use the “look and feel” of your defined GUI in end user Web applications.
  • The R&D team has incorporated BPMN2 compensation/error/rollback events into process design in Bonita Studio:
    • Messages include intermediate boundary events
    • Timers include a timed start event and an intermediate boundary event
    • Error end and intermediate boundary error events have been added
    • Signal start, intermediate (catch and throw), intermediate boundary and end events have been added.
  • You'll be able to change the Bonita API type access to REST when configuring the runtime if you are building your own applications with Bonita.
  • Bonita User Experience will give you (the process designer) more options for defining how Process information can be presented in User’s inboxes. That is, you'll be able to define who can see what, including:
    • Who can start a particular process
    • Who can see a particular process
    • Who can see a particular step
    • Who can see the details of a particular step
    • Who can see a category
    • Who can access a set of User Experience features
    • And more - customize the contents of your User’s profiles to define them more completely.
Stay tuned!
