I use Bonita BPM 6.5.1. Community Edition. Embedded portal that is launched from Studio for testing purposes suddenly stopped opening. Web-browser shows “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED”. I have reinstalled Bonita BPM Studio but it did not help.
What could be the reason? What shall I check?

Check logs. In your installation folder find dir with logs, for example:
C:\BonitaBPMCommunity-6.5.1\workspace\tomcat\logs
Then try the bonita.log and search for error description. Paste it here, maybe it’ll help

Thank you for your advise. It helped me find out the reason.
I have looked into log files and noticed that the program is using port 8081 instead of 8080. I checked - and really portal opens now on port 8081. Everything works. But I really have no idea why the port have been changed.

the port can be updated automatically if the port 8080 was occupied during a previous startup. it might occur if you encounter this issue and also that the Studio closes suddenly during previous attempts or wan’t able to write preferenc eon filesystem during last shutdown.
