Leading provider of open source business process management (BPM) more than doubles revenue from 2012, adds over 100 customers
SAN FRANCISCO – July 26, 2012 – BonitaSoft, the leader in open source business process management (BPM), today announced it has more than doubled both its revenue and customer base through the first two quarters of 2012. The company signed 104 new customers through Q1 and Q2 2012, which led to a 126% increase in revenue over the same period in 2011. With commercial customers in 46 countries and open source deployments in 193 countries, Bonita Open Solution surpassed 1.5 million total downloads in the first half of 2012, and the Bonita open source community grew to over 20,000 active contributors.
The company, which launched in June 2009, reported strong growth across a diverse array of industries in Q2, and cited the increasing prominence of BPM in today’s enterprise environments as a major driver of growth. BonitaSoft, which increased its employee headcount by 25% in Q1 and Q2, also rounded out its executive team, naming Arnaud Debains as chief financial officer, Mac McConnell as vice president of Marketing, and Ruth Cernes as vice president of Global Sales.
“Since day one, BonitaSoft’s core mission has been to democratize the BPM market with a cost-effective, flexible tool for business users,” said Miguel Valdés Faura, BonitaSoft CEO and co-founder. “As a result of this approach – as well as a marked increase in demand for BPM as a major driver of organizational efficiency – we’ve been able to experience considerable growth as a company in a short time. This phenomenon can be seen not only in the exponential rise in new customers each quarter, but also a large number of repeat customers from our existing base.”
