Is Bonita Compatible with Mysql 5.7 or Mysql 8.0?

Hello,

I was reading the Hardware and Software requirement of Bonita BPM and it says that Bonita is only compatible with Mysql 5.5.x, Mysql 5.5 support ended on December 2018 I wonder if we can use a more recent mysql version for example Mysql 5.7,

Hello,

Indeed you can use a recent version of Mysql, but since it’s not listed by Bonitasoft as compatible. It means that tests has not been made (or didn’t pass) using this DB so for a production environment this can be very risky.

I’d recommend you to keep using the version listed as compatible (5.5.x) if not, conduct your own tests with a recent version (5.7.x for example) in a development environment (for example) and unsure that every aspect works as on Mysql 5.5.x.
